Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 9-inch Pie crust (uncooked)*
  • 1/3 Cup unsalted butter, room temperature
  • ¾ Cup Light brown sugar, packed
  • 3 Eggs
  • 1 Cup light corn syrup
  • 1 Cup chopped pecans
  • 1 Teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ Teaspoon salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a mixing bowl combine butter and brown sugar, mixing until smooth. Add 1 egg at a time and mix well to incorporate, until all three eggs have been added. Add remaining ingredients mixing to combine well. Bake 30 – 45 minutes or until center is set. Let rest for at least 1 – 2 hours before cutting, longer is better.

Serve with ice cream or whipped cream.

*store bought is fine
