Stonewall Creek Vineyards

A visit to Stonewall Creek Vineyards reveals a pastoral mountain valley in Georgia's Rabun County (northeast corner of the state). Our vineyard may be in Georgia, but at 2,200 ft. elevation it's considered "cold climate," similar to Bordeaux in France, where most of our Vitis Vinifera grapes originated.  We planted our first vines in 2005 and now have 7000 vines on seven acres; all but one are European vinifera (Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Tannat and Petit Manseng).  In 2015 we planted an acre of French-American hybrid, Traminette. In 2016 we planted another acre of Petit Manseng and in sos1 we planted have and acre of Tocai Friulano. We focus on growing premium grapes and purposely keep our production low to increase grape quality.  We also harvest top quality Norton and Petit Manseng grapes at The Stack Farm nearby for our Standing Deer Cellar label.  As a small production vineyard, around 1000 cases annually, many of our fine, dry Georgia wines sell out as fall approaches.  In the recent 2022 Georgia Trustees Wine Challenge we were selected as the Georgia WInery of Distinction. Our dry Quattro red wine blend took Best of Competition and Best red Vinifera. Our Whitetail took the Best White Vinifera, and our Ayca was the best native/hybrid grape wine and our Yukari rose was awarded the best Rose. Our 2021 Petit Manseng  was awarde the best of class at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competiton in 2023. Through the years we have won many other awards for our wines.  Hours:  Thursday, Sunday, and Monday 12:30- 5:00PM and Froday-Saturday, 12:30-6:00PM.  Call for appointments, catering or other times: 706-212-0584.  Bring a picnic lunch and sit back and enjoy the vineyard and mountain views on our expansive terrace overlooking the vineyards.  Join us for a taste of the North Georgia Mountains!
