Camp South RV Park

Located one mile from I-16 at Exit 98 in South Georgia, we at Camp South RV Park are proud to provide you an authentic farm experience on your next camping trip. The land Camp South was built on has been in the family for six generations. For well over 100 years, soybeans, cotton, corn, tobacco and pine trees have been farmed here - - first with mules and later with tractors. Some of the original farm equipment is on site. Oh, the stories my Momma and her brothers and sisters can tell you about farming when they were growing up.   Surrounded on all sides by pecan orchards, planted pines, cotton fields, and sunflower patches, you can join us for hayrides through the countryside in the fall.   You are invited to plant, weed, water and pick a few herbs & vegetables from our garden to enjoy. You can make friends with Suzy the Pygmy Goat, Skittles the barrel racing Welch Pony, several varieties of ducks and chickens during your stay with us. Check out our Facebook page to stay up-to-date on Skittles and his barrel racing adventures. Stretch your legs and enjoy a stroll on paths through our woods. We have a variety of native trees and plants. You will also see and hear a medley of birds on your walk as we are proud to say a variety of wild birds call Camp South home. We provide gourds, birdhouses, bird feeders, natural vegetation and fresh water for them to drink. Take a tour of our grain bin pavilions. Our genuine grain bins once stored corn on the other side of Candler County. We took them down, moved them to Camp South, and gave them new life by transforming them into open-air pavilions scattered throughout the park. Now you and your family can gather in the shade to picnic or build campfire. You will also find a genuine syrup bowl, and can browse the farm equipment we have on display - - most of which was used on the farm.   Traveling with your children? Your kids can also enjoy our playground, and you can fish in the pond together. Traveling with your dogs? We welcome dogs on leashes with up-to-date vaccine records. Take them for a walk on the nature trails, or enjoy our dog park. For your convenience, we also provide a bathhouse with toilets, showers, and washer / dryer. We look forward to meeting you soon. You can reach us at (912) 685-7668 to make a reservation. For more information about our campground, visit our website at www.CampSouthRVPark.com. Best wishes.
