Prater Music Fest

Come join us as we celebrate Ocilla’s Soul Man, Mr. Dave Prater. Prater was part of the dynamic duo, Sam&Dave who brought us hits like “Soul Man” and “Hold On, I’m Coming.”

We will kick off the event on Thursday, May 11th with a Gospel Sing at a treasured Ocilla landmark, the former Irwin County Elementary School Auditorium.

Friday, May 12th, we will dance the night away at our block party that will feature the ICHS Jazz Band and a 60’s R&B cover band. There will be food vendors, live music, dancing, beer/wine vendors, games and much more. The celebration will continue Saturday, May 13th with food, arts/crafts vendors and more live entertainment, including a talent show and performances from local groups. All events are free to the public.
